What I believe about musicSound is a type of emotional connection that attempts to inspire with it's presence, immerse with it's synchronization, or allow the mind to choose between focus and relaxation. This is why I find myself doing music; because in these different contexts of music each have caused me to react as well in this very way. My goals with music include composition of material that can bring imagination or score films and games to capture that very imagination, trying to immerse the audience in whichever medium is presented by evoking an underlying emotion to which will be balanced against silence.
Sound is an important aspect of our culture today with each rattle of a bag, jingling of keys, blasting car horns, and a simple breeze. Every single sound must be cared for in a way that does not allow it to be impacted by lack of time or unwillingness to dedicate. I find that I care for sounds as much as I care for music, listening to the world around me wondering "Why do we find these sounds beautiful" or inversely "Why does society believe this is an annoying/ ugly sound?" I find it important to care in sound design for each of these sounds so it may itself be better heard as important rather than just 'beautiful' or 'ugly' in film, video games, television, art installments, etc.
